Warranty Policy

Goodmums sells different types of products, and warranty coverage may vary significantly from one product to another.
Last Updated: 2 September 2026

Goodmums sells different types of products, and warranty coverage may vary significantly from one product to another.

This Warranty Policy explains how warranty information is provided, when a warranty starts, how to submit a claim, what evidence may be required, how manufacturer warranties are handled, and what happens after a claim is submitted.

Please read this Policy together with:

  • the warranty information shown for the specific product;
  • the warranty card supplied with the product, where applicable;
  • our Terms & Conditions; and
  • our Return & Refund Policy.

A product-specific warranty may contain additional conditions, exclusions, remedies, or service requirements.

Nothing in this Policy removes any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of Bangladesh.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to products purchased directly from Goodmums where a warranty is specifically offered for that product.

This may include purchases made through:

  • goodmums.com;
  • our official Facebook page;
  • our official Instagram page;
  • another Goodmums-owned or Goodmums-operated sales channel; or
  • another direct ordering method officially provided by Goodmums.

A product purchased from an independent third-party seller may be subject to that seller’s or manufacturer’s warranty process instead.

2. When a Product Has a Warranty

Not every product sold by Goodmums has a warranty.

A product should be treated as having warranty coverage only where a warranty period or warranty offer is specifically stated for that product.

Do not assume that a product has a warranty simply because another similar product has one.

Warranty coverage may differ by:

  • product;
  • brand;
  • model;
  • manufacturer;
  • distributor;
  • supplier;
  • product category;
  • warranty provider; and
  • specific purchase conditions.

If you cannot find clear warranty information for a product, please contact Goodmums Support before purchasing or before assuming that warranty coverage applies.

3. Where Warranty Information Is Shown

Where technically available and applicable, Goodmums intends to display warranty information in relevant places such as:

  • the product page;
  • order details;
  • customer account order information;
  • invoice;
  • order email; and
  • warranty card.

The product page and product-specific warranty information are important parts of understanding the coverage before purchase.

If different warranty information appears in different places because of a technical or content error, contact Goodmums so we can investigate and confirm the applicable information.

4. Product-Specific Warranty Terms

Warranty is product specific.

A particular product may have its own:

  • warranty period;
  • warranty provider;
  • eligibility conditions;
  • covered defects;
  • exclusions;
  • inspection process;
  • required documents;
  • service location;
  • repair conditions;
  • replacement conditions;
  • manufacturer conditions; and
  • available remedies.

The general Goodmums Warranty Policy explains how warranty claims are handled.

The specific warranty information for the product explains what that particular warranty covers.

Where a valid product-specific warranty term is more specific than this general Policy, the product-specific term may apply to that product, subject to applicable law.

5. Warranty Card

Where a product has a warranty and a warranty card is applicable, the product should be supplied with a warranty card or equivalent warranty documentation.

Depending on the product, the warranty card may contain:

  • product information;
  • warranty duration;
  • purchase information;
  • warranty provider;
  • serial number;
  • service information;
  • acceptance criteria;
  • warranty exclusions;
  • instructions; or
  • a reference to separate warranty conditions.

Some warranty cards may contain detailed warranty criteria.

Others may provide only basic warranty information because the detailed criteria are maintained separately by the manufacturer, distributor, service provider, or Goodmums.

Please keep your warranty card safely where one is supplied.

6. Warranty Provider

A product warranty may be provided or administered by:

  • Goodmums;
  • the manufacturer;
  • an importer;
  • a distributor;
  • an authorized service centre;
  • another authorized warranty provider; or
  • a combination of these parties.

The warranty provider may affect:

  • where the product must be sent;
  • who performs inspection;
  • repair procedures;
  • replacement availability;
  • processing time; and
  • the available remedy.

7. Manufacturer and Distributor Warranties

Some products are covered primarily by a manufacturer, distributor, importer, or authorized service-provider warranty.

In those cases, the manufacturer’s or provider’s applicable product-specific warranty conditions may apply.

These may include conditions relating to:

  • eligible defects;
  • warranty duration;
  • inspection;
  • repair;
  • replacement;
  • service centre;
  • serial number;
  • product condition;
  • accessories;
  • proof of purchase; and
  • exclusions.

Goodmums does not control every independent warranty decision made by a manufacturer, distributor, importer, or authorized service provider.

However, Goodmums will not intentionally use a third-party warranty arrangement to remove a right or obligation that applies to Goodmums under applicable law.

8. Goodmums as a Warranty Facilitator

Where a warranty is provided by a manufacturer, distributor, importer, or service provider, Goodmums may assist the customer as a facilitator.

Depending on the product and arrangement, we may:

  • receive the claim;
  • verify purchase information;
  • collect evidence;
  • communicate with the warranty provider;
  • receive the product;
  • forward the product for inspection;
  • provide status updates;
  • receive the product back from the service provider; or
  • assist with another reasonable part of the warranty process.

Acting as a facilitator does not necessarily mean that Goodmums itself performs the technical inspection, repair, or manufacturer warranty decision.

9. Warranty Period

The warranty period varies by product.

The applicable duration should be stated in the product-specific warranty information.

Examples of warranty duration may be expressed in:

  • days;
  • months;
  • years; or
  • another clearly defined period.

There is no universal Goodmums warranty period for every product.

Always check the specific product warranty.

10. When the Warranty Starts

Unless the product-specific warranty states otherwise, the warranty period starts on the date the customer actually receives the parcel.

The date of purchase, payment, invoice creation, dispatch, or shipment does not automatically replace the actual delivery date as the warranty start date where the product warranty is intended to start upon receipt.

11. System Order Completion and Warranty Start

Goodmums uses an order-management system to help calculate and manage warranty periods.

The system may automatically use the date an order is marked Completed as the warranty start date.

Normally, an order should be marked Completed when delivery has been confirmed.

This system date is an administrative record.

If the system completion date accurately represents the actual delivery date, it may be used to calculate:

  • warranty start;
  • warranty end; and
  • warranty eligibility.

If the system date is incorrect, reliable delivery evidence may be used to correct it.

12. Correcting an Incorrect Warranty Start Date

Sometimes an order may be marked Completed earlier or later than the actual delivery date.

If this happens, either the customer or Goodmums may request a correction.

Relevant evidence may include:

  • courier delivery confirmation;
  • courier tracking;
  • delivery-partner records;
  • proof of receipt;
  • order-status history;
  • customer communication;
  • SMS;
  • email;
  • other reliable delivery evidence.

If the evidence reasonably confirms a different delivery date, Goodmums may adjust the warranty start and end dates accordingly.

13. Holidays, Off-Days and Status Delays

Public holidays, weekly holidays, courier reporting delays, system synchronization, or operational off-days may sometimes delay the update of an order’s Completed status.

This should not unfairly reduce or increase the actual product warranty period.

Where reliable evidence establishes the real delivery date, that evidence may be used to correct the warranty period.

14. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has developed an issue covered by warranty, contact Goodmums Support.

You may be asked to submit a warranty request through the Goodmums warranty system or another support process.

Please provide accurate information about:

  • the product;
  • the order;
  • the problem;
  • when the problem started;
  • how the product was used; and
  • any troubleshooting already performed.

Submitting a claim does not automatically mean that the claim has been accepted.

Warranty eligibility may require verification and inspection.

15. Information and Evidence We May Request

Depending on the product and issue, Goodmums or the warranty provider may ask for reasonable evidence.

This may include:

  • order number;
  • invoice;
  • warranty card;
  • customer name;
  • phone number;
  • email address;
  • product model;
  • serial number;
  • photographs;
  • video;
  • description of the issue;
  • evidence showing the problem;
  • product packaging where relevant;
  • accessories;
  • courier information;
  • proof of delivery;
  • service history;
  • troubleshooting information; or
  • other claim-specific evidence.

Not every warranty claim requires every item listed above.

The information requested should depend on the product and the claim.

16. Proof of Purchase

Goodmums may use different types of evidence to confirm that a product was purchased from us.

Proof may include:

  • Goodmums order number;
  • invoice;
  • customer account order;
  • phone number;
  • payment record;
  • bKash transaction;
  • Nagad transaction;
  • bank record;
  • email;
  • SMS;
  • courier record;
  • Facebook or Instagram conversation;
  • warranty card; or
  • another reliable purchase record.

If an order was placed through an official Goodmums-owned channel rather than directly through the website, reasonable alternative proof may be accepted.

17. Sending a Product for Warranty Inspection

Some claims cannot be properly assessed using photographs or videos alone.

You may therefore be required to send the product to:

  • Goodmums;
  • a manufacturer;
  • distributor;
  • importer;
  • service centre; or
  • another approved warranty location.

Goodmums will provide or confirm the appropriate destination before shipment where we are facilitating the claim.

Do not send a warranty product to an unconfirmed address or service centre and assume that Goodmums will be responsible for it.

Please package the product reasonably and securely for transport.

18. Warranty Shipping and Transport Costs

Unless the product-specific warranty, manufacturer, Goodmums, or applicable law provides otherwise, the customer normally bears shipping or transportation costs related to sending a warranty product for inspection or service.

This may include:

  • shipping to Goodmums;
  • shipping to a manufacturer;
  • shipping to a distributor;
  • shipping to a service centre; or
  • another approved inspection location.

The customer also normally bears the cost of shipping or transporting the product back after the warranty process is completed.

These shipping costs are normally not refundable.

However, a different arrangement may apply where:

  • a manufacturer provides free warranty shipping;
  • a product-specific warranty includes shipping;
  • Goodmums agrees to cover a cost;
  • a service provider covers the cost; or
  • applicable law requires a different result.

19. Inspection and Assessment

A warranty provider may need to inspect the product before determining whether a claim qualifies.

Inspection may consider:

  • reported issue;
  • product condition;
  • serial number;
  • model;
  • warranty period;
  • warranty card;
  • purchase record;
  • signs of physical damage;
  • signs of liquid or environmental damage;
  • unauthorized repair;
  • unauthorized modification;
  • installation;
  • usage conditions;
  • maintenance;
  • missing parts;
  • product-specific exclusions;
  • manufacturer criteria; and
  • other relevant technical evidence.

Goodmums may rely on a qualified manufacturer, distributor, technician, or authorized service provider for technical assessment where appropriate.

20. Warranty Claim Status

During the warranty process, a claim may move through statuses such as:

  • submitted;
  • under review;
  • waiting for customer information;
  • waiting for product;
  • product received;
  • inspection or processing;
  • accepted;
  • estimated completion updated;
  • ready to ship;
  • shipped;
  • completed or solved;
  • cancelled; or
  • rejected.

The exact status names shown in the Goodmums system may change over time.

A status update is intended to help explain what stage the claim has reached.

21. Warranty Remedies

There is no single remedy that applies to every Goodmums warranty product.

The available remedy depends on:

  • product;
  • defect;
  • warranty provider;
  • manufacturer criteria;
  • warranty terms;
  • available parts;
  • product availability;
  • technical assessment; and
  • applicable law.

A valid warranty claim may result in one or more of the following:

  • troubleshooting;
  • adjustment;
  • servicing;
  • repair;
  • replacement of a component;
  • replacement of the product;
  • manufacturer remedy;
  • distributor remedy;
  • another product-specific solution; or
  • refund where applicable.

A warranty claim does not automatically create an immediate right to a refund.

22. Repair

If repair is an available remedy under the product-specific warranty, the product may be sent for repair or servicing.

Repair may involve:

  • diagnosis;
  • replacement of parts;
  • adjustment;
  • software or firmware work;
  • manufacturer service;
  • authorized service-centre work; or
  • another appropriate technical process.

The availability and timing of repair depends on the particular warranty.

23. Replacement

Replacement may be offered where it is an available remedy under the applicable warranty.

A replacement may depend on:

  • warranty approval;
  • product condition;
  • manufacturer decision;
  • stock availability;
  • availability of the same model;
  • availability of an equivalent approved replacement; and
  • product-specific warranty conditions.

Goodmums does not promise replacement as the remedy for every warranty claim.

24. Refund Under Warranty

Refund is available under warranty only where:

  • the product-specific warranty provides for it;
  • Goodmums or the warranty provider approves it as the appropriate remedy; or
  • applicable law requires it.

An approved warranty claim does not automatically mean that the original purchase price will be refunded.

Where a warranty refund is approved, refund processing will follow the applicable Goodmums refund rules and applicable law.

Payment, transaction, and shipping charges already incurred are normally non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.

25. Warranty Exclusions

A warranty normally covers only the problems included in the applicable product-specific warranty.

Depending on the product, warranty may exclude problems caused by:

  • misuse;
  • accidental damage;
  • physical damage;
  • improper installation;
  • unauthorized repair;
  • unauthorized modification;
  • failure to follow mandatory instructions;
  • normal wear and tear;
  • incorrect storage;
  • missing or lost parts;
  • liquid or moisture damage where excluded;
  • unsuitable electrical supply where applicable;
  • use outside stated operating conditions;
  • misuse of accessories;
  • deliberate damage;
  • altered serial information; or
  • another product-specific exclusion.

Not every exclusion applies to every product.

The actual product-specific warranty criteria should determine which exclusions are relevant.

26. Physical or Accidental Damage

Unless specifically covered by the product warranty, damage caused after delivery by an accident or customer-side event is normally not a warranty defect.

Examples may include:

  • dropping;
  • crushing;
  • impact;
  • breakage;
  • tearing;
  • burning;
  • incorrect storage;
  • liquid exposure where not covered;
  • damage during unauthorized repair; or
  • another external physical event.

If a product arrived damaged, that should normally be reported under the Return & Refund Policy within the applicable delivery-problem reporting period rather than treated as later warranty damage.

27. Unauthorized Repair or Modification

A warranty may be affected if the product has been:

  • opened where opening is restricted;
  • repaired by an unauthorized person;
  • modified;
  • altered;
  • rewired;
  • disassembled;
  • fitted with unauthorized components; or
  • otherwise changed in a way that reasonably affects the claimed defect.

This applies only where relevant to the product and warranty terms.

Goodmums will not use an unrelated modification as an automatic reason to reject an otherwise valid claim where the modification has no reasonable connection to the issue and applicable warranty rules do not support rejection.

28. Product Instructions and Proper Use

Customers should follow applicable:

  • manufacturer instructions;
  • warnings;
  • installation requirements;
  • age guidance;
  • maintenance instructions;
  • storage requirements;
  • compatibility requirements; and
  • mandatory safety information.

A warranty may not cover a problem caused by failure to follow important product instructions.

However, Goodmums recognizes that some product information published on our website or social channels may come from manufacturers, experts, documentation, or other sources.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

29. Serial Numbers, Labels and Warranty Identification

Some warranties depend on product identification.

Where applicable, please do not intentionally:

  • remove;
  • alter;
  • damage; or
  • replace

a serial number, warranty seal, identifying label, or other product identification required for warranty verification.

A missing or altered identifier may affect a claim where the identifier is reasonably necessary to verify the product or warranty.

30. Consumables and Normal Wear

Some parts naturally wear out or are designed to be consumed during normal use.

Depending on the product-specific warranty, these may not be covered.

Examples may include:

  • batteries where treated as consumable;
  • filters;
  • disposable parts;
  • replaceable consumables;
  • cosmetic wear;
  • normal material degradation; or
  • another expected wear item.

Whether an item is excluded depends on the specific product warranty.

31. Warranty Processing Time

Warranty claims may require more time than an ordinary return because the product may need:

  • physical inspection;
  • manufacturer assessment;
  • distributor assessment;
  • technical testing;
  • repair;
  • replacement parts;
  • international communication;
  • service-centre processing; or
  • transportation.

For this reason, Goodmums does not apply one universal processing time to every warranty product.

Where an estimated processing time is available, it may be communicated through:

  • product warranty information;
  • claim status;
  • email;
  • order/account information;
  • support message; or
  • another Goodmums communication.

32. Estimated Completion Dates

Any warranty-processing or completion date given before the process is complete is normally an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.

An estimate may change because of:

  • technical findings;
  • manufacturer response;
  • parts availability;
  • product availability;
  • service-centre workload;
  • holidays;
  • transportation;
  • international supply;
  • customs;
  • weather;
  • regulatory conditions; or
  • another issue outside Goodmums’ reasonable control.

If we receive important new information that materially changes an estimate, we may update the estimated completion time.

33. Customer Follow-Up and Required Actions

Sometimes a warranty claim cannot continue until the customer takes an action.

Examples include:

  • providing requested evidence;
  • answering a question;
  • sending the product;
  • providing a missing accessory needed for testing;
  • confirming a delivery address;
  • approving an available remedy; or
  • responding to a support request.

Goodmums may send reminders where a claim remains waiting for customer action.

If the customer does not respond for a significant period, the claim may eventually be closed or cancelled where reasonable.

Closing an inactive claim does not necessarily prevent the customer from contacting Goodmums again while the applicable warranty remains valid.

34. Warranty Claim Rejection

A warranty claim may be rejected where, after reasonable review, the issue is not covered by the applicable warranty.

Possible reasons may include:

  • warranty expired;
  • product has no applicable warranty;
  • claimed problem cannot be verified;
  • issue is caused by an applicable exclusion;
  • physical or accidental damage not covered;
  • unauthorized modification;
  • misuse;
  • product is different from the product covered by the claim;
  • product cannot reasonably be verified;
  • manufacturer or warranty-provider criteria are not met; or
  • another valid product-specific reason.

Where reasonably possible, Goodmums should communicate the reason for rejection.

A rejected warranty claim does not prevent the customer from asking for clarification or appealing with relevant new evidence.

35. Warranty Claim Cancellation

A warranty claim may be cancelled where:

  • the customer asks to cancel it;
  • the claim was created by mistake;
  • the issue was resolved without further service;
  • a duplicate claim was created;
  • the customer does not provide an essential item or information after reasonable follow-up;
  • the product is not submitted when required; or
  • another reasonable administrative reason applies.

Cancellation of a claim is different from rejection of warranty eligibility.

36. Warranty Appeals

If you believe:

  • your warranty start date is incorrect;
  • your warranty end date is incorrect;
  • important evidence was missed;
  • a claim was rejected based on incorrect information; or
  • another warranty decision contains a factual error,

you may contact Goodmums Support and ask us to review the decision.

Please provide any relevant additional evidence.

Depending on the issue, Goodmums may:

  • review internal records;
  • review courier records;
  • review product information;
  • ask the manufacturer or service provider for clarification;
  • reopen a claim;
  • correct a warranty date; or
  • confirm the original decision.

Both Goodmums and the customer may rely on reasonable evidence when seeking a correction.

37. Product Safety Concerns

A potential product-safety issue should not be treated only as an ordinary warranty matter.

If you believe a product creates a serious safety concern, contact Goodmums as soon as possible.

Examples include:

  • injury;
  • choking risk;
  • contamination;
  • overheating;
  • electrical hazard;
  • dangerous breakage;
  • serious allergic reaction;
  • unsafe component;
  • suspected counterfeit product;
  • incorrect critical safety instruction; or
  • another credible safety concern.

Goodmums may prioritize the case and may:

  • request evidence;
  • investigate;
  • contact the manufacturer or supplier;
  • temporarily suspend the product from sale;
  • update product information;
  • remove the product from sale;
  • contact affected customers where appropriate; or
  • take another reasonable safety action.

For a serious product-safety concern:

Phone: +8801540767848
Email: hello@goodmums.com

When emailing, clearly identify the matter as a Product Safety concern.

If urgent medical help is required, seek appropriate emergency or professional medical assistance.

38. Return Policy and Warranty Are Different

Goodmums’ Return & Refund Policy and Warranty Policy cover different situations.

Delivery return

A product that:

  • arrives damaged; or
  • is materially different from what was ordered

should normally be reported under the Return & Refund Policy.

Visible delivery problems should normally be reported within 24 hours, and an eligible return request should normally be made within 3 calendar days of delivery.

Warranty claim

A warranty claim normally relates to a covered product issue arising during the applicable warranty period.

For example, a product may function correctly when received but later develop a covered fault.

That situation may be handled under the Warranty Policy rather than the initial return process.

The 3-day return period does not shorten a valid product-specific warranty period.

39. Missing Records or Technical Problems

Goodmums uses digital systems to store:

  • orders;
  • delivery information;
  • warranty dates;
  • claims;
  • evidence;
  • messages; and
  • claim status.

An unexpected server, database, plugin, or other technical issue may sometimes make a record unavailable or incomplete.

If this occurs, Goodmums may request reasonable alternative evidence such as:

  • invoice;
  • order number;
  • payment evidence;
  • warranty card;
  • serial number;
  • courier confirmation;
  • email;
  • SMS;
  • social-media conversation;
  • claim evidence; or
  • another reliable record.

A technical failure or lost Goodmums record does not automatically remove a valid warranty right.

40. Fraud or Misuse of Warranty

Goodmums may investigate a warranty claim where there is a reasonable concern about:

  • altered evidence;
  • false evidence;
  • product substitution;
  • serial-number manipulation;
  • deliberate product damage;
  • fraudulent purchase records;
  • false identity;
  • duplicate claims intended to obtain multiple remedies; or
  • another form of warranty abuse.

We may request additional evidence where reasonably necessary.

This section does not allow Goodmums to reject a genuine claim simply because a customer raises a complaint.

41. Changes to Product Warranty Information

Manufacturers, distributors, and service providers may update warranty programs from time to time.

Goodmums may also update this general Warranty Policy.

However, a later change should not automatically remove warranty rights that already applied to a product when the customer purchased it where doing so would be unlawful or inconsistent with the warranty agreed at purchase.

Where a product-specific warranty changes before purchase, Goodmums may update the product information accordingly.

Customers should review the warranty information shown for the product at the time of purchase.

42. Consumer Rights

This Warranty Policy explains Goodmums’ general warranty process.

It does not remove any mandatory right available under applicable Bangladesh law.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to:

  • exclude a legal warranty or condition that cannot be excluded;
  • remove a mandatory consumer remedy;
  • prevent a customer from making a legitimate complaint;
  • prevent a customer from contacting a consumer-protection authority;
  • prevent a customer from seeking legal advice; or
  • restrict another legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where this Warranty Policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of Bangladesh law, the applicable legal requirement will take priority.

43. Contact Goodmums

If warranty information for a product is unclear, unavailable, or you need help understanding whether a product is covered, contact Goodmums Support.
