Refund and Return Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to eligible purchases made directly from Goodmums through goodmums.com and other official Goodmums-owned sales channels.
Last Updated: 2 September 2026

At Goodmums, we want customers to understand clearly when an order can be cancelled, when a product can be returned, and how an approved refund is processed.

This Return & Refund Policy applies to eligible purchases made directly from Goodmums through goodmums.com and other official Goodmums-owned sales channels.

Please read this Policy together with our Terms & Conditions and, where applicable, our Warranty Policy.

Nothing in this Policy removes any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of Bangladesh.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to products purchased directly from Goodmums.

This includes eligible orders placed through:

  • goodmums.com;
  • our official Facebook page;
  • our official Instagram page;
  • another Goodmums-owned or Goodmums-operated sales channel; or
  • another direct ordering method officially offered by Goodmums.

If you purchased a product from an independent third-party seller rather than directly from Goodmums, that seller’s return and refund rules may apply instead.

2. Before Requesting a Return or Refund

If you believe there is a problem with your order, please contact Goodmums as soon as possible.

Please do not unnecessarily use, alter, repair, wash, damage, discard, or dispose of the product or its important packaging while a return request is being reviewed.

Depending on the issue, we may ask you to provide evidence before a return or refund can be approved.

3. Cancelling an Order Before Dispatch

For a normal, non-Pre-Order product, you may request cancellation before the order is dispatched.

If your cancellation is successfully processed before dispatch, the order may be cancelled without normal delivery charges being incurred.

If you already paid for the order, the eligible refundable amount will be processed according to this Policy.

Payment-processing or transaction charges already incurred may remain non-refundable.

A cancellation request is not complete until Goodmums receives and processes it.

4. Cancelling an Order After Dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched, delivery costs have already started to be incurred.

If you cancel or refuse an otherwise correct order after dispatch, you may be required to pay:

  • the original delivery charge;
  • return-to-origin charge, where applicable;
  • re-delivery charge, if you later ask us to send the order again; and
  • another reasonable courier charge directly caused by the failed delivery.

If you have already paid for the order, applicable delivery or return costs may be deducted from any refundable amount where permitted.

This section applies to customer-requested cancellation or refusal of an otherwise correct order.

A genuinely damaged or materially wrong product is handled separately under this Policy.

5. When a Product Is Eligible for Return

Goodmums does not currently offer a general return right for every purchase.

A product may normally be eligible for return where:

  1. the product was delivered damaged; or
  2. the product delivered is materially different from what you ordered or from an important representation made about the product.

The return must also meet the applicable reporting, timing, evidence, and verification requirements in this Policy.

6. Damaged Products

If a product arrives damaged, please report the issue as soon as possible.

You should normally report visible or delivery-related damage within 24 hours of receiving the parcel.

We may ask for evidence such as:

  • photographs of the damaged product;
  • photographs of the parcel or packaging;
  • video;
  • courier label;
  • order number;
  • invoice;
  • delivery information; or
  • other relevant evidence.

Please keep the product and packaging available while we review the issue.

Damage caused after delivery by misuse, accidental damage, improper handling, unauthorized modification, or another customer-side cause is not treated as delivery damage under this Policy.

If a problem develops later and the product has a warranty, our Warranty Policy may apply instead.

7. Wrong or Materially Mismatched Products

A return may be considered if the product you received is materially different from what you ordered.

Examples may include receiving the wrong:

  • product;
  • model;
  • size;
  • variant;
  • quantity;
  • major specification; or
  • another important characteristic that formed part of your order.

A minor packaging, label, colour-display, or presentation difference does not automatically make a product materially mismatched.

Manufacturers may sometimes update packaging or make minor non-material changes without changing the actual product.

If you believe the difference is important, contact us with evidence so that we can review it.

8. Reporting a Problem Within 24 Hours

For a product that arrives visibly:

  • damaged;
  • wrong;
  • incomplete; or
  • materially different from the order,

you should report the problem within 24 hours of delivery.

This early reporting period helps Goodmums investigate:

  • courier damage;
  • packing errors;
  • wrong-item delivery;
  • missing items; and
  • other delivery-related problems.

Please provide available evidence when reporting the issue.

The 24-hour reporting rule does not remove any right that applicable law does not allow Goodmums to exclude.

9. 3-Day Return Period

An eligible return request must normally be submitted within 3 calendar days from the date of delivery.

For example, if you receive a product on 10 September, you should submit an eligible return request no later than 13 September.

Submitting a return request does not automatically mean that the return or refund is approved.

Goodmums will first review the reason, timing, evidence, and product condition.

The 3-day period does not limit a product-specific warranty or a mandatory legal right that continues for a longer period.

10. Evidence We May Request

Goodmums may request reasonable evidence to verify a return, refund, or delivery claim.

Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • order number;
  • invoice;
  • customer phone number;
  • payment receipt;
  • bKash transaction information;
  • Nagad transaction information;
  • bank transaction information;
  • photographs;
  • video;
  • unboxing evidence where available;
  • courier packaging;
  • shipping label;
  • product serial number;
  • product packaging;
  • warranty card;
  • communication history;
  • courier confirmation; or
  • another reliable record relevant to the issue.

We will not normally require every item on this list.

The evidence requested should depend on the specific claim.

11. Condition of a Returned Product

Where reasonably possible, an eligible returned product should be sent with the items originally supplied with it.

These may include:

  • original product;
  • packaging;
  • accessories;
  • parts;
  • manuals;
  • warranty card;
  • labels;
  • included gifts or free items; and
  • other materials supplied with the product.

Please do not intentionally damage or alter the product before returning it.

Opening a package only as reasonably necessary to inspect the product or discover a problem does not automatically make the return invalid.

12. Returns That Are Not Normally Accepted

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Goodmums, a return is normally not accepted where:

  • the customer simply changed their mind;
  • the customer no longer wants the product;
  • the product is no longer needed;
  • the customer ordered the wrong product, size, model, or variant;
  • the product materially matches the order and description;
  • the problem was caused by customer misuse;
  • the product was damaged after delivery by the customer;
  • the customer made an unauthorized repair or modification;
  • the return request was made outside the applicable return period without another legal or warranty basis;
  • required evidence of the claimed delivery problem cannot reasonably be established; or
  • another applicable exclusion applies.

Product-category-specific return exclusions may be introduced separately where necessary and clearly communicated.

13. Change-of-Mind Returns

Goodmums does not currently offer a general change-of-mind return policy.

This means a product is not normally returnable only because you:

  • changed your mind;
  • found another product;
  • no longer need it;
  • prefer another colour or model;
  • ordered accidentally; or
  • decided not to keep an otherwise correct product.

Please check the product information carefully before ordering.

If something important is unclear before purchase, contact Goodmums Support.

14. Cash on Delivery Orders

Cash on Delivery orders are also covered by this Policy.

If a COD parcel is visibly damaged or clearly wrong at the time of delivery, contact Goodmums as soon as possible.

Where the courier process allows it, you may be able to refuse or return the visibly damaged or wrong parcel to the delivery person.

Applicable delivery charges may still be payable once the delivery service has been performed, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If you receive the COD parcel and discover a problem afterward, report the issue within the applicable 24-hour reporting period and submit any eligible return request within 3 days.

If you refuse an otherwise correct COD order because you changed your mind after dispatch, you may be responsible for delivery and return-to-origin costs.

15. Delivery and Return-to-Origin Charges

Delivery services create costs once an order has been dispatched.

If delivery fails for a customer-side reason, you may be responsible for relevant charges.

Examples include:

  • customer cancellation after dispatch;
  • refusal of an otherwise correct parcel;
  • incorrect address;
  • incomplete address;
  • incorrect phone number;
  • customer repeatedly unavailable;
  • failure to respond to reasonable courier attempts; or
  • another customer-caused failed delivery.

Charges may include:

  • original delivery charge;
  • return-to-origin charge;
  • additional courier charge; and
  • re-delivery charge.

Goodmums may request payment of these charges before processing another delivery.

16. Return Shipping Costs

Where an eligible product needs to be physically sent back to Goodmums, a manufacturer, distributor, service provider, or another approved destination, the customer normally bears the cost of sending the product.

Return-shipping charges paid by the customer are normally not refundable.

However, the allocation of shipping costs remains subject to:

  • applicable law;
  • product-specific terms;
  • manufacturer terms;
  • an express Goodmums agreement; or
  • another requirement that applies to the transaction.

Goodmums may provide specific return instructions before you send the product.

Please do not send a return to an address or service location that has not been confirmed by Goodmums.

17. Inspection and Verification

Goodmums may inspect or verify a returned product before approving a refund, replacement, or another resolution.

Inspection may consider:

  • whether the correct product was returned;
  • reported damage;
  • product condition;
  • serial number;
  • accessories;
  • packaging;
  • order information;
  • evidence submitted;
  • whether the issue matches the return request; and
  • whether the problem appears to have occurred before or after delivery.

Where necessary, Goodmums may ask a supplier, manufacturer, distributor, courier, technician, or other relevant party to assist with verification.

18. Replacement or Other Resolution

Where appropriate, Goodmums may offer a replacement instead of a refund.

This may be suitable where:

  • the wrong product was sent;
  • a replacement product is available; or
  • both Goodmums and the customer agree that replacement is the appropriate solution.

A replacement will not always be possible.

If an appropriate replacement is unavailable and a refund is due, Goodmums will process the applicable refundable amount.

19. When a Refund May Be Approved

A refund may be approved where, for example:

  • an eligible damaged product claim is verified;
  • an eligible materially wrong-product claim is verified;
  • Goodmums cancels an eligible paid order;
  • Goodmums cannot supply an eligible paid product;
  • an eligible Pre-Order cannot be completed;
  • a Pre-Order reaches the Goodmums 90-day non-fulfilment limit;
  • a material Pre-Order change is not approved by the customer and refund is appropriate;
  • another Goodmums policy provides for refund; or
  • applicable law requires a refund.

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the individual order.

20. Refund Amount

An approved refund does not always mean that every amount originally paid will be refunded.

The refundable amount normally consists of the eligible product amount or other amount approved for refund.

Amounts that have already been incurred for separate services may be excluded as explained below.

Where applicable, customer-caused delivery, return-to-origin, or other amounts owed may also be adjusted against the refund where legally permitted.

21. Non-Refundable Shipping Charges

Once delivery or shipping charges have been incurred, those charges are normally non-refundable.

This includes an original shipping or delivery fee already used to process or attempt delivery of the order.

Where an eligible product refund is approved, the original delivery charge is therefore normally not included in the refund.

For example:

Product price: ৳2,000
Delivery charge: ৳100

If the product amount is fully eligible for refund, the normal refund would be ৳2,000, not ৳2,100.

Additional customer-caused return-to-origin or re-delivery charges may also apply where relevant.

This rule is subject to any reimbursement that applicable law requires Goodmums to provide.

22. Non-Refundable Payment and Transaction Charges

Any separate charge incurred while making the original payment is normally non-refundable.

This may include:

  • bKash transaction or service charge;
  • Nagad transaction or service charge;
  • bank fee;
  • bank-transfer fee;
  • payment-gateway charge;
  • payment-processing charge; or
  • another similar financial-service charge.

For example:

Product price: ৳2,000
Delivery charge: ৳100
Payment charge: ৳20
Total paid: ৳2,120

If only the product price is eligible for refund, the normal refund would be:

৳2,000

The ৳100 delivery charge and ৳20 payment charge would normally remain non-refundable because those services have already been incurred.

This section remains subject to applicable law.

23. Refund Method

Goodmums may process an approved refund:

  • to the original payment method; or
  • through another method agreed with the customer, depending on the situation.

Possible refund methods may include:

  • bKash;
  • Nagad;
  • bank transfer;
  • reversal through the original payment method;
  • another agreed method.

The available refund method may depend on:

  • how the original payment was made;
  • payment-provider capabilities;
  • technical availability;
  • transaction status; and
  • customer preference where an alternative is possible.

Goodmums may ask for additional information needed to send the refund securely.

24. Refund Processing Time

Goodmums normally aims to process an approved refund within 7–10 business days after the refund is approved and any required verification information has been received.

Where applicable law requires a shorter refund period, the legally required period will apply.

After Goodmums initiates a refund, additional processing time may be required by:

  • bKash;
  • Nagad;
  • a bank;
  • a payment gateway;
  • another payment provider.

Goodmums does not control the internal processing time of an independent financial institution after the refund has been correctly initiated.

25. Pre-Order Returns and Cancellation

Pre-Order products have special conditions because they are sourced or arranged before they are ready for ordinary immediate delivery.

A product sold as a Pre-Order is clearly intended to be purchased with the understanding that the customer will wait for the estimated sourcing/import process.

For this reason, a Pre-Order is not normally refundable merely because the customer:

  • changes their mind;
  • no longer needs the product;
  • purchases somewhere else;
  • decides they do not want to wait within the applicable process; or
  • otherwise voluntarily cancels without a Goodmums fulfilment problem.

Any mandatory right under applicable law will continue to apply.

26. Pre-Order Deposits

A Pre-Order may require a deposit, partial payment, advance, or another lawful payment arrangement.

Where a Pre-Order deposit has been clearly identified as non-refundable and the customer voluntarily cancels the Pre-Order, the deposit is normally not claimable or refundable, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Payment or transaction charges already incurred are also normally non-refundable.

This rule does not prevent a refund where:

  • Goodmums cannot fulfil the Pre-Order;
  • Goodmums proposes a material product change that the customer does not approve;
  • the order becomes refundable under the 90-day Goodmums rule;
  • Goodmums expressly agrees otherwise; or
  • applicable law requires a refund.

27. Pre-Order Delays

The arrival date or period shown for a Pre-Order is an estimate unless Goodmums expressly states otherwise.

Many Goodmums Pre-Orders depend on international sourcing or imports.

The estimated arrival may be affected by:

  • supplier delay;
  • manufacturer delay;
  • customs;
  • customs inspection;
  • international shipping;
  • port or airport disruption;
  • weather;
  • international conditions;
  • regulatory issues;
  • transport disruption;
  • courier problems;
  • emergencies; or
  • another event outside Goodmums’ reasonable control.

A reasonable change to an estimated arrival date does not automatically create a change-of-mind refund right.

However, Goodmums’ 90-day maximum non-fulfilment rule and any mandatory legal refund requirements continue to apply.

28. Pre-Orders Not Completed Within 90 Days

The Goodmums maximum Pre-Order period is 90 calendar days from the original order date.

If a Pre-Order remains incomplete for 90 days or more, Goodmums will treat it as an incomplete order.

The eligible amount will then be refunded.

The 90-day period is a maximum Goodmums limit, not permission to delay a refund until day 90 when Goodmums already knows earlier that the order cannot be supplied.

If Goodmums becomes aware earlier that the product cannot be supplied, we may cancel and refund the order earlier, including where required by applicable law.

29. Material Changes to Pre-Order Products

Sometimes a supplier or manufacturer may change a Pre-Order product before it reaches Goodmums.

If the change is material, Goodmums should contact you before completing the order.

Examples may include a significant change in:

  • model;
  • version;
  • major specification;
  • important included accessory;
  • important product feature;
  • colour where material to the purchase; or
  • price.

Goodmums should obtain customer approval before proceeding with a materially changed product.

If you do not approve the material change, this will not automatically be treated as an ordinary voluntary cancellation by you.

Where appropriate, Goodmums will cancel the affected order and process the eligible refundable amount.

30. Orders Goodmums Cannot Supply

If Goodmums cannot supply an eligible paid order, we will handle the cancellation and refund according to applicable Bangladesh requirements and this Policy.

Where Goodmums becomes aware that a fully paid product cannot be supplied because of an unforeseen situation, the customer will be informed and refunded within the period required by applicable law.

The Goodmums internal 7–10 business-day refund target does not extend a shorter legally required refund period.

31. Additional Refund Verification

Goodmums may ask for additional documents or information before processing a refund where reasonably necessary.

This may be needed where:

  • the original payment record is unclear;
  • the original payment method cannot receive the refund;
  • the order record is incomplete;
  • customer identity needs to be reasonably confirmed;
  • the refund is going to a different account;
  • Goodmums records were affected by a technical problem; or
  • there is a reasonable fraud or security concern.

Requested information may include:

  • order ID;
  • invoice;
  • payment receipt;
  • bKash transaction ID;
  • Nagad transaction ID;
  • bank transaction information;
  • phone number;
  • account information necessary for refund;
  • identity confirmation where reasonably necessary; or
  • another relevant document.

Goodmums will handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy.

32. Missing Order or Payment Records

An unexpected server, database, payment, or other technical issue may sometimes make Goodmums records incomplete or unavailable.

If this occurs, we may ask you to help confirm the transaction using alternative evidence.

This may include:

  • invoice;
  • order number;
  • email;
  • SMS;
  • bKash record;
  • Nagad record;
  • bank record;
  • payment receipt;
  • courier tracking;
  • delivery record;
  • phone number;
  • Facebook or Instagram conversation; or
  • another reliable record.

A technical failure or lost Goodmums record does not automatically remove a legitimate customer right.

33. Social Media and Other Goodmums Orders

This Return & Refund Policy may also apply to orders made directly through official Goodmums-owned channels such as Facebook or Instagram.

If an order was not originally created through the website, we may use reasonable alternative evidence to verify it.

This may include:

  • phone number;
  • payment evidence;
  • invoice;
  • chat history;
  • courier record;
  • message history;
  • product details; or
  • other reliable proof.

34. Suspected Fraud or Abuse

Goodmums may investigate a return or refund request where there is a reasonable concern about:

  • false evidence;
  • altered evidence;
  • fraudulent payment;
  • false damage claim;
  • intentional product substitution;
  • returning a different product;
  • serial-number mismatch;
  • repeated abusive claims; or
  • another form of suspected fraud.

Goodmums may request additional evidence before completing the claim.

This section is intended to prevent fraud and does not allow Goodmums to reject a genuine claim simply because a customer makes a complaint.

35. Warranty Claims Are Different

A return request and a warranty claim are not always the same.

The 3-day return period mainly covers eligible problems associated with what was delivered, such as:

  • delivery damage; or
  • receiving a materially wrong product.

A product defect that develops later may instead be covered by a product-specific warranty.

If the product has an applicable warranty, please read the Goodmums Warranty Policy and the product-specific warranty conditions.

A warranty does not automatically mean that the customer is entitled to an immediate refund.

Warranty remedies may include:

  • inspection;
  • repair;
  • replacement;
  • manufacturer service;
  • another product-specific remedy; or
  • refund where applicable.

36. Consumer Rights

This Policy explains Goodmums’ normal return and refund rules.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to:

  • remove a mandatory consumer right;
  • exclude a refund that applicable law requires;
  • prevent a customer from making a legitimate complaint;
  • prevent a customer from contacting a consumer-protection authority;
  • prevent a customer from seeking legal advice; or
  • exclude another legal remedy that cannot lawfully be restricted.

Where this Policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of Bangladesh law, the applicable legal requirement will take priority.
